Every Giving Tuesday (the Tuesday after Thanksgiving), I host a philanthropic giving event in partnership with non-profits. I recently moved to the area where the dZi Foundation is headquartered and remembered many friends who are involved in the organization as well as avid biking and athletic endeavors. I reached out to founder, Jim Nowak, a true visionary in what he has created with the dZi Foundation and asked if he’d like to do an event. He enthusiastically said “yes” although we had to move the event from a live in person event to Zoom. There is a recording and presentation available on request or at www.dzi.org. The dZi Foundation helps build schools, supports organic farming, and specific needs of communities in remote areas of Nepal. I discussed potential tax changes to come in 2022 and planned giving.
